Club Policies
At Barnhurst Lane Lions FC, we expect all players to uphold the highest standards of behaviour on and off the pitch. Our Player Code of Conduct is built on respect—for teammates, coaches, opponents, referees, and the game itself. Players are expected to show commitment to training and matches, give their best effort at all times, and demonstrate honesty, sportsmanship, and teamwork. We believe that a positive attitude, discipline, and responsibility are just as important as technical ability in a player’s development. By following this code, every player helps create a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for all.
At Barnhurst Lane Lions FC, we value the vital role that parents and spectators play in creating a positive football environment. Our Code of Conduct asks all adults to lead by example—showing respect to referees, coaches, players, and fellow supporters at all times. We encourage cheering and support from the sidelines, but ask that coaching is left to our qualified staff to allow players the space to learn and grow. Positivity, patience, and encouragement are key to helping every child enjoy the game, develop confidence, and thrive both on and off the pitch. Together, we build the best experience for our young players.
At Barnhurst Lane Lions FC, we fully support and respect the crucial role that match officials play in the game. Our Code of Conduct ensures that all referees and assistants are treated with fairness, courtesy, and professionalism at all times. We expect players, coaches, and spectators to accept decisions without confrontation, recognising that officials are there to facilitate a safe, enjoyable, and fair match environment. Abuse or dissent of any kind will not be tolerated. By respecting match officials, we uphold the integrity of the game and set the right example for all involved.
